My trip to Phuket BangTao beach in November. My first time there..standing at the beach, looking at the clear water and blue sky..feeling the water at my feet. But today, a catastrophe.

This area was a paradise before sunday...Now it is so far...
So difficul to imagine what it is today.

Catastrophe today yes, but Mother Earth has an amazing capacity to repair herself, and harsh as it may seem, new babies will be born, and life will eventually get back to almost normal.
But you have done a wonderful photograph here Jasmine, and a great memory for you, and thanks for posting it.

It is very scary how this paradise could turn to be a hell in seconds, Jasmine. This picture makes ann excellent use of layers in five colors, and it's beautiful.

My thoughts go out to all those people who have been affected by the tsunami that has caused so much devastation across South East Asia.

Hi Jasmine. I wish this were just a bit sharper, but that said, it is still a wonderful photo with a nice point of view. Interesting choice to put that ship right in the middle. I think it works.

A beautiful shot, especially when you take into account the events that happened shortly there after.
It is a surreal feeling. I was in Phuket in May, and you cannot help but to think of the events that took place.
