Photographer’s Note

Ko Tapu is an island located in the Phang Nga Bay, Thailand. It has become a popular tourist attraction since it was featured in the James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun in 1974; for this reason, it is also often referred to as James Bond Island. Ko Tapu island is about 20 meters tall, and lies approximately 150 meters offshore of the two-islet pair known as the island Ko Khao Phingkan.
Departing from Phuket island, day-tours using longtail boats usually land at Ko Khao Phingkan, where market booths are set up. The islands are located within the Ao Phang Nga National Park.

Hi Franco,
I know this place well and I've seen many picture of it (even got some in my gallery), and your photo is very fine. POV is nice, and I like the jungle-covered cliffs in the back. One thing I would do to even improve this picture is stamp out that person on the left. Anyway a very good shot!

another marvelous impression of too distant paradise. :) Wonderful and amazing landscape with hills comming from water, making it so charateristic and unique. They are beautifully placed inside the frame, making composition as close as perfect. But I miss something...where is my James? :))

Dear Franco,
in my feeling, this beautiful view fits not the James Bond movie, but true romantic movies...for example "South Pacific" in Hawaii, or "Love Is A Many-Splendored Thing" in Hong Kong...
strange rocks in the clear sea make a wonderful and mysterious sight.
