Photographer’s Note
(An oldie with a story...)
I shot this picture of these two backpacking girls on Ao Nang beach, near Krabi. In my memory they were either Italian or Israeli, but maybe I just made that up. It's a long time ago...
At the time I used to have my film rolls developped in a small photography shop in Can Tho in Vietnam and my trusty old photographer was ape crazy about this shot. In fact he asked me whether it was OK for him to print it on a large poster format and have it be put on display in his shop. Of course, I agreed.
Then I imagined these two girls travelling in the deep south of Vietnam and walking into a photographer shot to buy new film rolls...

hi! I'm much impressed by this shot, I like it a lot. The colours are very soft and also the position of the two characters makes it very strong

Hello Benny,
There is a compelling aspect to the symmetry you've captured in this shot. They may be sisters. In any event, their shared hair style reminds me of those in ancient Egyptian wall paintings.
Warm regards,

Hi Benny,
I think they may be twins, with the girl in blue being firstborn. Her body language is more open and confident.
I don't know what to say really to qualify as a critique. It's a very good photo.

Hello Benny,
It is a very nicely composed shot, with the repetition of the girls creating a strong focal image. The light and shadow gives quite a 3D effect and the depth of field is perfect.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello my dear Benny
I like bikini girl very much, which makes us sunny summer, I need that scene and situation as soon as possible, while shaking the coldness in blizzard Tokyo. Nice angle and framework, but the object is the best.
Best regards

Hola Benny,
A photo with delight ... perhaps for the spontaneity,
perhaps for the naturalness, perhaps for the time
exposure .... the case is that something has this
that does that the images attract attention and also
they please.
Congratulations for the good work of the year 2000 (analogue) that still has more merit.
Un saludo.

hi Benny
I have to pick this shot because of the double and as Frenchman I met last week in Phnom Penh cannot trust me about girls, I may as well enjoy the bikinis here on the beach :))
In actual fact, the light, sand, water element and the colors of the bikins, plus the skin tone cannot outperform the cigarette and the special hairdo.
You were good in capturing them from the side profile and in such a good pair of pose. [and since that Frenchman is not watching me, great bodies!]
Great work.
