A monk and a novice share a quiet moment in Nong Khai, Thailand.
As seen by the bucket behind them and the knife in front, these monks have gathered some food from their own garden. They are enjoying a perhaps reflective moment along the banks of the Mekong river before returning to their temple.
Nong Khai can be reached by train from Bangkok, and is one of the gateway cities to the Vientiane province in Laos, which is just a few kilometers away.

even if the position of the monk and the novice in the frame isn't perfect I like this shot and the beautiful atmosphere. Even the colours and the lightning is beautiful. They look lost in their own thoughts and kind of far away. Beautiful mood.

I like very much the peaceful atmosphere in this picture. from a compsotion persective it mat have been better to shift evrything to the left a bit, so you get the full dig and the momk and novice off center. Anyway good picture.

That photo looks great with monk and novice at rest with nice colors and good light.
All the best,

Nice scene showing the two monks side by side. I think that a little bit closer view would have been good too.

very nice shot. the orange cloak of the monks amidst green background is perticularly contrasting.
