Repost. I have adjusted the colour to remove pinkish hue that critics did not like. I have also sharpened with unsharp mask as suggested. (I keep forgetting to sharpen after reducing. In my humble opinion is it much improved, which illustrates the value of helpful critiques?)
This is a picture from the Pi Ta Khon or Ghost festival in Dan Sai, in the northern mountains of Loei. Each village in Esarn has its local weave. The weaving of this pattern is passed down from mother to daughter. On a festival day, such as this, the local weave of each village acts as a banner and the young men of the village lead their procession carrying the village flag. This young man is waiting in the insufferable heat of midday for the procession to start. In this festival the villages call up to spirits of the fields and the woods to come and dance and revel in the village streets for a day and a night, before the spirit medium sends them back for another year

Gee it's been a long time, great to see you again!! A very nice portrait with excellent dof causing the bg to blur. I love the bright colors!! TFS

These colors are even more beautiful than the first time and the eyes of a child is always so intense.

Nice photo with vibrant colors. Though sharpness in some parts is not perfect, but framing is good. Good work. Congrats.

First thing I noticed here is that the textile looks a lot more vivid than the boy, which leads me to think you made the focus here
Have a nice day jY

Bonjour, cher Kevin,
J'aime cette jolie façon de présenter ce portrait qui ressort à merveille avec ce tissu très artistiquement décoré.
L'ensemble ressort à merveille.

Hi Kevin, much better indeed. The pattern has a tremendous impact. In spite of the young's man face right in the centre, my eyes keep being atracted to the flag. Excellent documentary shot, as usual from you.
