the Mekong river, my endless source of inspiration (continued)
This is another shot from the Mekong near Chiang Khan, a quiet border town in Northern Isaan. The picture shows a typical fish farm. Across the river is Laos.
The Mekong River is one of the world’s major rivers. It is the 12th-longest river in the world, and 7th longest in Asia. Its estimated length is 4,350 km, and it drains an area of 795,000 km2. From the Tibetan Plateau it runs through China's Yunnan province, Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.
Although extreme seasonal variations in flow and the presence of rapids and waterfalls have made navigation extremely difficult, the Mekong is the main source of life for millions of people in South-Asia.
This picture was taken in Chiang Khan, a sleepy riverside town, a couple of hours to the north of Loei. It is a very enjoyable place to hang around for a couple of days, go for walk along the river and watch the sun go down.

Hello my dear Benny
I understand your intention.
Composition, sharpness and framework are perfect. If I am not mistaken, something is lack for this your photo.
Thanks for sharing and best regards

Great view of the wide river and the distant mountains under a superbly detailed sky. I love that rich brown of a tropical river - looks great in combination with the blues. I think it's a pity there is no person in this photo, but good angle of view and very good exposure to render the light and colour so well. Thanks for the good note.

What make this image better than it already is the cloudy and drammatic sky. I love it. it contrast really well against the coffe with cream river. There is similarity in many of the Indochina countries. Make me miss home. Thanks

Jolies couleurs et belle composition. La profondeur est bien rendue par le premier plan.
