Pai a small town in the mountains of Mae Hong Son the district far north-west of Thailand... A peaceful place to do nothing except relaxing strolling around eating enjoying. At night time the tempertures are getting down to 10°C in December a big contrast to the tropical heat of South Thailand or the lower altitudes of North Thailand. So it is a good place to feel a kind of autumn feeling just before going back to good (c)old Europe...
The temple is covered in a blue shadow just a while before the sunset.

Did this picture as I mostly do, handheld with my favorite lens 17-35/2,8 a lens with fantastic sharp glas on my beloved Nikon F6 together with Velvia 100F slide film (by the way the film has got a resolution of 88MPixels with 35mm format) it is a good combination for me during travelling.
Of course with a tripod it would have been better, but I don't want to carry megatons of weight during travelling. The main goal of travelling for me is to enjoy and definitely not to brake my back with to much weight :D

I really liked the angle of this shot... It's a bit dark though, and I understand your unwillingness to bring a tripod (which is also mine). I would suggest perhaps digitally infusing a bit more light into the picture. Otherwise, great job.

Hi Daniel,
What an interesting, wonderful detail and sharpness. Good color and clarity too.
Regards
Tola :))

Hi Daniel,

Still not converted to digital? Nikon has full frame now. (:
Why should you, it looks great... so wide. Its does look a bit dark on my screen. Keep posting! Gilbert
