Shot this fellow on a construction site in Pai, northwestern Thailand. I liked the way the afternoon backlight lit up the dust as he was walking.

Hello Chris,

These worker makes as construction worker a lot dusts, but maybe is the earth very dry.
This gives exactly a misty atmosphere, but also a lovely image.
An colorfully image made with high quality and sharpness.
An excellent composition, a lovely presentation.

Une composition remarquable. Le travailleur est parfaitement placé dans l'image. Ce que j'aime surtout, c'est la poussière qui le suit et s'attache à ses chaussures et sont air très fatigué.

I love this one!

A lovely contre jour photograph in which, as you say, the bright light from behind the man has accentuated the dust thrown up by him as he walks toward you.

Your composition is excellent with the man placed perfectly in the frame (on the right vertical "third") and the diagonal line of the roadway heading straight for the bottom right corner of the picture. Despite the strong backlight, you have still managed to retain light on the man's face. I like too how the man is pin-sharp against a nicely out of focus background - the effect of excellent use of a long lens and wide aperture.

Hi Chris,
A great shot of a slice of gritty reality. The backlighting works well, illuminating the dust raised as the worker trudges along the the ground. Depth of field is just right to focus on the man.

Dull colours throughout and the light effect on the dust is the real feature. Despite the worker's face being in the shade his facial features are very clear. Tfs, Marlene
