Spires, a photo from Chiang Mai, North

Photographer's Note

the perfectly white spires, topped by golden domes, of an unknown temple in Chiang Mai glistening against a kitschy blue sky. As far as I remember the temple in itself was rather unspectacular but I was impressed by the pure whiteness of the spires.

Hello Daniel,

The focus is a bit soft, but the subject is so exotic, the colors so vivid tht I think this photo belongs in the group theme, Domes, Spires and Minarets. Warm regards,

A very nice and straightforward compositions of white, golden and blue. There is a strong and elegant vertical emphasis and there are several fine details to watch.

These white spires and golden detail do look pretty amazing against the vivid blue sky. You have composed this perfectly so we can see so many of the fine spires too, and the detail in the lower left corner is really nicely included.

Hi Daniel,

beautiful snow white spires with these golden "hti" In this area probably is influence of Burma architecture, as very similar spires one can see in Shan province. Sky is perfect.

An excellent idea to crop in so close to these beautiful spires. The top one on the left is cropped a little too tightly, but I like the idea - and the result alot. The colours are nice and strong and beautifully contrasted and the choice of vertical frame was a good one. Nice work, a unique and artistic photo.
