These were a group of boys of the Akha village in the North West of Thailand in which I volunteered as a teacher...they were always so happy and cheerful...and I hope they are still as happy entering the new year!

I spent two and a half weeks in Thailand in 1998, and have never visited a more geniunely friendly place. We stayed in a small village near Chang Mai on the trip and I played football with the children in the village, and like the picture here, they were so happy and great to be with.

A great photo and one that brings back happy memories for me.

Boys will be boys...an infectious laughter is elicited by this photo. Nice moment you've captured...very candid.

I agree with Margarita, "but something is wrong with this scan", but the real-time photo deserves best credit to the photographer.

Leonie: could you tell more about the location, and how to enroll to such a teaching program, please? I am unable to go, but I still want to hear. Thanks.

Thank you for the great shot. I remembered when I went to Borneo couple of years ago. Childrens there were also very cheerful.

Beautiful shot. Background with wall and poster and mountain looks very, very good. All boys looks really realistis and naturals. I wish myself always thats humorus.
