I found this kind Thai salesman in one of the little tourist villages in Northern Thailand. He was standing in front of a booth selling souvenirs.

Hi Frans!
Some great uploads, and I really loved your website...some marvellous photos. This one is great, but specifically I wanted to comment because I knew there was something familiar about this man. Me and my travelling companion both took pictures of him also in 2006. I don't think I uploaded one, but here is the link to my friend's pic:

The internet makes this possible I guess and this is not the first time I have seen this happen, or people have commented my photos and said that they had a photo of the same person! He really is a photogenic man with a warm smile and of course some interesting clothes! Keep the great photos coming, cheers, Steve

Hello Frans,
that's another great portrait, very suggestive thanks to its clarity and colours. The sharpness and the light management place the emphasis on the man's eyes and make the portrait interesting. He seems carried away by his thoughts. I also like that the colour of the background is similar to the colours of his clothes and this makes the face really stand out.

Hello Frans - You have captured this lovely face under the most attractive ambient light. The focus is very finely placed on the one eye and cheek bone and I love the bright refection in the eye, it brings the portrait to life. A shot a excellent quality and very beautiful. That's a beautiful portrait with a remarkable sharpness. I love his expression, half mysterious and mischievous, half wise and nostalgic. He is a character! The hues on the skin are splendid, with the light just on his face, while the background stays dark, which makes him stand out all the better!

I like the delicate light which enhances this portrait taken from below (unusual way) and gives white dots in his eyes, so living. The colours are in harmony, and the dark background is well choosen.

Hello, I just discovered your gallery of amazing photos. This particular portrait is very expressive. The soft, natural lighting provides a warm patina which juxstaposed with the warm hues of his clothing adds richness and depth to the overall portrait. This is a very fine portrait.
