Photographer’s Note

A private resort along the pier of Koh Chang.
It is so private, i wasn't even allowed to go there and take some closer shots.
Here you can see some of the boats also parked along the pier that time.

Taken in raw at F11,1/250s, ISO200.

Hey Jon,

Is this Bang Bao pier ?

If so then I remember it much differently (2001) as it was just a working fishing community with the locals living on houses built on the pier and no tourist accomodation in sight !

Nevertheless this is still a quality shot and the resort does blend in quite well with its surrounds.

This is so beautiful. Despite the horizon is near the center, adding the tip of the boat on the left side helps define frame to the already beautiful scene of the huts. Definitely adds the depth. It's good that the foreground stays sharp.

The clarity of your photo is excellent. It is a pity you could not approach to take some closer views!
I like the way you composed, using the boat, its rope and its shadow on the water.
