Photographer's Note
The marble players
This photo was taken at the main temple on Koh Kood, an island in Trat province, next to the Cambodian border. When we arrived, there were many children playing around, likely pupils at the temple school. I’m not too sure what the saying "kids will be kids" means, but if it means kids act like kids, no matter where in the world they are, I guess this photo tends to support it. There must be dozens of marble games. I must say that I didn’t quite understand that one, perhaps because I was more interested in the interactions with the kids and taking photos. I remember playing marbles when I was a kid, and thinking that the game that was played in my neighbourhood was not making much sense! Some must be better than others.

HI Claude!
I love watching young novices at their games before they have to become serious when they stay in a monastery,
I`m not pedophiliac!!!!!
good shot of these three with a nice blurred backround.

Hello Claude,
Although it's entirely natural that young Buddhist novices are just like any other kids I always find it fascinating to see them playing football or enjoying other games. Of course it's their orange or purple dresses that make them so spectacular and charming. Here you have captured them very well, two standing up watching their friend who is bent down and concentrated on the game. Their different positions benefit the composition and gives it a bit of dynamism. You were also lucky that the shade has made the colours very mild and attractive.
Regards,
Gert

Salut cher Claude
What a wonderful, unusual and very sweet scene you have captured. I like that the little boys have their back turned to the camera, completely unaware of you and so natural. The colours are incandescent and you chose the vertical frame so well. Wonderful definition and composition.
Thanks for sharing, have a beautiful day

Hello Claude,
very nice scene of daily life, the photo very well expresses the concern of boys for a game, blurred background creates nice 3D mpression.

Hello Claude
I am fascinated by this wonderful sights. I am currently in Vietnam and enjoying the different life and architecture. Your picture is beautifully exposed and you have framed the marble players very well. Lovely rich colours.
Excellent
Kind Regards

Bonjour Claude,
Superbe photo de ces garçons en "uniforme templier" si coloré. "Kids will be kids ", that's true !
Marie-Louise.
