Bang Chan is a tiny community of Fishermen and their families, who all live in houses built on stilts along a large tidal estuary accessed from Klung. The edges of the estuary are lined with mangrove trees and there are large amounts of eagles at certain times of the year.
Thanoo is heading out to drop crab traps along the edges of the estuary among the mangroves. He will retrieve them the next day at about the same time, when the tide is full. The folks here are poor, and live to a large extent on what comes from the water. There is no electricity, but solar panels, batteries, and inverters do the job just fine. Water is plentiful during the wet season where it is gathered and stored from the roofs. But in the dry season, much of it must be delivered by tanker boat.

Most wonderfully composed, Steve, by using the wide angle, you minimize the figure, rightly in that expansive environment, with the large foreground presence of the boat adding a perfect balance, and a slight sense of forward movement in an otherwise still landscape.

An interesting photo and taken from a good perspective back in the boat. The waters of Thailand with the lush vegatation and a sculpted sky well presented.

For this shot, either the engine is not running or you must have a very steady hand. Excellent POV with great contrasts of blue and brown with some green. I like that man sitting in front of the speed boat. Good photo job. Thanks for your critique of my blue hours shot. Normally what is grainy I will delete. This one I have overlooked and the shot was too good. I will try your suggestion to use save to web, perhaps that helps.

Nice shot, like how the boat leads up to the fisherman and the dramatic skyline.
