Muang Boran, the theme park in Samut Prakan Province around 33 km from Bangkok. This park is is the largest open-air museum in the world. The open-air museum occupies a 320 acre site shaped to the outline of Thailand and comprises an excellent collection of full scale to scale of one-third to three fourths of the originals replicas of the country's major monuments, temples, statues, and even a mountain which are positioned where they would relative to the same place in Thailand. It offers a realistic journey throughout the kingdom in only a few hours.

The re-creation of the oldest palace in Bangkok – the Dusit Maha Prasat Palace (The Grand Palace) can be seen across the lotus pool... The building has a cruciform structure as large as the Suriyat Amarin palace at Ayutthaya.

In the early Rattanakosin era, the Dusit Maha Prasat Palace was an audience hall, where affairs of state were conducted and royal ceremonies performed. The palace was built by King Rama I in 1806...Renovated in the reign of King Rama III, the building left no trace of the original workmanship...

By painstaking research and study of old photos and contemporary documents, Muang Boran has succeeded in recreating the original appearance of the palace.

The shaded pavilion provides a nice place to rest beside the lotus pond

Hello Angshu. The colorful nature of this picture makes it very attractive. The perspective showing the interesting building in the background and the pond on the front is excellent and give an idea of how beautiful this place really is. Good sharpness to complement the shot. TFS :-)

Hi Angshu,
That looks like a fairy tale scene! Good compo with huge leaves in FG and Palace replica finely colored... I'm going in ten days to Thailand, and might look for this place!
Cheers
Marilyn

Hi Angshuman,
beautiful park, good composition and POV. Nice architecture of palace in background. Well done photo.
Gr., Aleksander

The compo is nice.
I like it much. Simple but nice.

Hi Angshuman
Interesting place. I like the park and the palace in the beackground. Great light and colours, but a bit unsharped image...;)
Regards

Olá Angshu, excellent choice of the POV. These big lotus leaves sure give a nice impact in foreground and also adds an exotic mood - that guy seems to consider jumping into one of them (:o) These surroundings seem more pleasant for the Palace thanthe real ones. It really looks like the real Palace. Is it in its full scale or one-third of the original? I couldn't tell that from here...I like the lianas(?) dropping from the trees as if we were in a real jungle. Well this is an equatorial warm weather and that's exotic for me, of course.
Good shot my friend!
Have a good begining of week,
Ricardo

Bonjour, mon ami Angshu,
Philippe

Dear Angshu,
Another successful picture from Muang Boran. What makes this so visually appealing is the view across the lotus pond, specially those giant lotus leaves. Excellent combination of colours.
Best Wishes
Sabyasachi

Hi Angshuman
Nice place and really look like helping relaxing .
Nice pov and Dof
TFS/Kind regards :) tomorrow

Hi Angshu!

Amazing landscape, amazing picture! Excellent mixture of architecture and nature photography. Amazing composition, sharpness and contrast. Beautiful colours! Congratulations!

Best regards,
Hercules

A nice composition, Angshu, the temple back there is very dramatic; the floating giant leaves are wonderful (BTW I believe that they are giant water lilies, and not lotus); IMO the guy on the left is too disturbing and I'd crop/clon him out. Regards, Daniel

Hi Angshuman,

A good POV of the re-creation of Dusiyt Maha Prasat Palace and of the lotus pond, the photo has a good composition, DOF and nice colors. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Angshuman

I have been to Ancient City several years ago, & recognise the giant Amazonia lilies in the fg. Good colour & reflections. Tfs!

Hi, my friend Angshuman,
A nice place to relax and to be walked admiring this beauty.
Good caught in your setting, the temple is outlined with his colors and contrasts with such a green environment, and the small pond with the lotus adds a great interest to the set.
A place fantastic and very well gathered in your photo.
Regards,
Josep

Angsu bonsoir.
Ces lotus sont les plus grands, je crois qu'ils se nomment Victoria. La photo dégage une atmosphère de paix et de repos. J'aime ce bassin sous les ombrages et ce palais reconstitué avec ses toits très décoratifs.
Jacques

Hi Angshuman,

Hi Angshu!
A good colorful image ,taken from an excellent POV.I like the big leafs of this amazing plant:"victoria regia" in the foreground and the building in the distance, very nice framed by the vegetation. The blue cloth of that man at the left contrast well with the whole scene.
Regards,leo

Another colorfull view with the palace in the background, but clearly what I prefer are these floating leafes, like large dishes waiting for some strange meal.

All the best,

Emmanuel

Hi Angshu,
I love the increasing variety in your posts!! You've captured the beauty of this place so well that I can imagine myself sitting on the grassy bank in the shade to admire the huge lotus pads. HLJ, Pat

Always interesting these amusement parks recreating national landmarks. I love how the water leads to the building behind. Good handling of the different lighting...looks like it was shaded in the foreground. What I really want ot know though, is did that man try to walk on the lotus pads :) he looks like he's getting ready to jump.
Regards,
Chris.

Hello Angshu
A nice colourful shot - the pond leads us nicely to the white structure. Sharpness seems to tail somewhat on the white building itself, but nice work all the same.
Best wishes

Hi Angshu - so much to look at here, very atmospheric garden, tastefully landscaped, with a nice temple in the back, the only thing that bothers me is the man in blue.

Hello Angshuman,
Beautiful natural surrounding to this fantastic building on background. Love the graphism of this round things on the pond and the presence of the human element. The reflections on water are well caught and help to enhance this already beautiful photo.
Cheers.

Hello Anqshu.
A new galery to discover.
Lovely place with a point of view that takes us to the palace but,the lotus pond seems more interresting in the foreground.
How strong are those leaves, will I be able to sleep on them?
I like the peace and quiet that oozes out from this setting.
