[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is yet another shot from the canals where we live in bangkok.
This is taken from a bridge crossing klong song, and you can see 2 fish farms in the foreground, and a fishing net in the right side.
The fishing net works by being lowered into the water and then you throw food into it to attract the fish, when it looks like there is plenty of fish in it you simply lift it up.

Hej Harry,
Nice view over this fish farm with an interesting note to explain. The POV and composition are well chosen and I also like the reflections in the brown water. Well done!
Hilsen,
Lars

Hi Harry,
Thats' a nice angle and a photo full of perspective and depth, it's well framed to see the whole trap mechanism, the actual trap area is also well isolated because of this shining green that contrasts.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Pretty colorful, luxious green in your shot and interesting explanatory text, Harry. But you will have to explain the green "pools". What are they? Sorry for the ignorance.
Regards, Peter

Hi Harry!
What a nice photo you have here! This is surely a different Bangkok! This place seems so far away from tourists. Colours are great and your perspective of these fish farms is great!
Well done!

Beautiful soft light (thanks to the filter) and good depth to appreciate this floating garden. Sharpness is excellent and contrast between black and green provide a good visual strenght. I like it.

Excellent compo and POV, nice colours. Very interesting scene.

Ola Harry que cultura faschinante , todas aquelas casas de pescadores a beira do rio , gostei das cores e dos reflexos , parabens!!
Um abraço Gonçalo

Hi Harry,

this seems to be a fore runner of the modern day fish farms I see in Scotland. This is a fine composition with the river running off into the distance and the fishing net well placed to the right. The contrast between the light green in the farms and the rest of the shot is quite marked. Only 98kb though, seems quite low, but no matter it's still a fine capture and an informative note too. Well spotted.

Regards

Stephen

Hi Harry
You have such a nice gallery ,
This one is very interesting and very clever shot, colors and POV great , compo is very good
TFS\Kind regards

Hi arry

The green suares are great - as all the bamboo poles and lines of vegetation - they make the shot come alive.

The common name for that type of fishing net is a Chinese fishing net - there are lots of them in Kerala, S India and around Hoi-An in Vietnam. I imagine they were first used in China - or it may just be the name.

I like this photo, very in keeping with TE, not seen fish farming quite like this and the note is excellant. Lots of questions, why is the fish pond bit all green and what are all those other green veggy lanes which are in great contrast to the brown water.
A very pleasent and informative image
Well I should read the other comments, then I would get some of the answers!
