[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The atmosphere was special.
The Believers with teir oblations, the incense of the joss sticks, the figures taped over with gold leafs.
And above this scenery - that monk was looking to everybody.
I want back there!

Hi Wishnu,
I like a lot this shot -the face of the monk is really wonderful -
well done -
Have a nice sunday
Thanks
Gaby

Despite the busy-ness around him, red, golds, paraphernalia of a monk's seat (including fan on the left, and the ubiquitous plastic water bottle), I find his arms and hands (but also the foot) an extremely strong and riveting feature adding tremendous power to his portrait. Here we get a sense of a man who has forfeited outward appearances for the inner life, the intensity of which, we feel in his lively eyes.
you may have shot him just a bit too centered, but the message is passing. Bravo!

You have made a very nice picture from this scene, Wishnu, It is nicelt composed and the face of your subject is full of character.
regards. Kevin

nice image, lovely colors..
a lot of gold involved !

hay wishnu garuda
verry good photo i like this still nice coiors good composition
thank by anand

This Monk looks like he has been there since the beginning of time. At peace, yet exuding a power that is not explainable. A very nice picture, thank you.

He's emaciated. Look very dedicated to his beliefs and humble towards the people. Thanks for sharing this excellent portrait. Only thing I would consider changing is the white line on the wall above is head. It's a bit distracting.

A very nice shot of this monk. Monks are a bit harder than they look to portray. Anyone can "shoot" monks.but I have seen these great chairs around and I like this photograph as he is sitting in it as if it is a throne somehow.

This is one monk I would like to talk to.

Great Job.
Aloha, JB
