Erawan Falls is about an hour by local bus from Kanchanaburi in western Thailand. There is a 200 baht entry fee for foreigners to the park. ($5 US). It was a hot 35c, & with 90% humidity. And that's in the "cool" season!
This type of shot is best taken on a cloudy day to avoid the strong blown out highlights. Sometimes you just have to work with the conditions you get given. Exposure time was between 1/30 & 1/2 a second. There are 6 or 7 more sets of waterfalls further up the mountain.

Very beautiful effect of the falling water, Chris! It looks as if you had a relatively long esposition time but on the other hand the people in the background are sharp ... Well done!

Even if it's not a somptuous beach, these waterfalls are splendid. The shutter speed you chose is great and gives a good movement feeling.Colors and light are nice too. Good shot !

HI Chris, again a nice place to visit, even virtually...
I like here the smooth effect of the falling water and the water colors, your light management produces excellent results.

Votre serie de photos sur la Thailande est décidemment très très réussie!
J'aime beaucoup celle-ci aussi!Surtout pour la vitesse qui est très bien maitrisée et qui nous donne une effet de filé d'eau magique!

It´s a touching scene! Water effect is adorable... perfect velocity ;)
The place looks beautiful, with a nice environment. Well done Chris.

I think that's a really good idea to take a 'short' long exposure shot (if you know what I mean). To blur the water yet have people who are clearly moving in it, and not show any blur. It's worked really well here. Very well composed and good colours as usual.

I love the silky water flowing feeling.I loved the framing of all color.Would had loved if frame contained little bit saturation and contrastness.

Very well done.

I love the special character and colors of your landscapes Chris. The slow shutter speed create a nice effect on the falling water and the contrasty colors of the people walking there gives a nice touch of color.

very nice shot, I like the slow speed for this particular shot, the flow of the water is better that way.

Good composing in the way you gave most of the space in the frame to the cascades, and we can still see a bit of the "pool" into which they are flowing in the foreground. I'm not sure how fond I am of seeing the people here, but in any case I guess there was no way to avoid them and at least what they do - and do really well - is afford a very good understanding of the scale which would otherwise have been hard to grasp. Good shot, Chris.

Love this one Chris. The composition is nicely balanced, and the colours are lovely, especially the beautiful pale aqua of the water in the foreground. The red provides a good dynamic contrast. As for the waterfalls - they're gorgeous and your exposure choice accentuates the graceful cascading of the water.

I don't know what to say Chris, specifically of this photo. The gentle cascading falls is just so "creamy" and so well defined. It is so good, I hate seeing those tourists jaywalking on it. Like you said in your note, the best time is on a cloudy day and especially when there's no tourists walking on the rocks :)

Very nice image with a good control over the exposure and good timing! I say this because it's not easy to get the people on focus with such a slow shutter speed and at the same time get the soft water effect. Very well done.
The place seems to be really great.

Good choice of shooting speed for this one, and the people exploring the falls add some nice interest.

A velocidade usada criou um efeito fantastico na cahoeira, ficou parecendo espeleotemas de uma caverna. A cor da agua e linda. Otimo trabalho Chris Jules.

The capture of the power of the Erawan falls is an asset to the composition. The prsence of the persons has an effect of scale. The view from the bottom to top is giving a sense of depth to the photo. The trees are framing well the water falls. The light is well managed which enhancing the colors and givong a good contrast to them. Have a nice day.
