Photographer's Note
Ah - memories of travel past (and current media coverage of troubles).
We visited Bangkok on the way home from Europe in 1972 (it was a difficult visit as I had a dose of dysentery from our previous stop in India).
We couldn't visit Rat Arun (The temple of dawn) due to all the restoration work going on so had to be satisfied with a view from a boat. At least that means that this photo gives an unusual portrait of the temple.
Scanned from a slide with lots of work getting rid of dust!

Hi Ian,
Unusual capture of this beautiful building, strange to see it covered in scaffolding. Wow, Bangkok 1972, my first visit was about then too, it was a pretty wild town, but lots of fun.
Good result from such an old slide, you've done well.
Regards
Peter
