Hi Albert,
great shot! The man on the left bottom does all the trick, not only to create feeling of the scale but also the sense as if Buddha is watching him as he passes by. The golden outcome of capture inspite of dark indoor environment is just right, not over or underexposed. Excellently balanced and nicely presented.
Kind regards and great w-end,
Jeri

Hi Albert!
I have been there!!! Thanks for reminding me this very impressive statue and thanks for bringing back good memories! Your photo is excellent, great framing and composition, perfect light managment, under dificult conditions, if you took this photo at 1/5 seconds without tripod, then my friend you have one of the steadiest hands in the world! Congratulations!

The vast size of the reclining Buddha makes taking its photo very difficult. I think you chose a very clever angle and the inclusion of the man passing by is wonderful for scale. I notice you kept your polariser on. If you had taken it off you would have got a faster speed, although you have managed to hold the camera still.Well done

Hello Albert,
Whenever I see pictures of this impressive buddha, I find it a pity that there isn't just a little bit more room under his feet. The wat being the wat, this is about as impressive as a Wat Pho picture can get. The man gives an indication of the size of the buddha image, his vagueness reflects the temporary state of our lives? Greetings.

Hello Albert! ! A picture of impressive Buddha! The different corner that you used gives a dynamic and very good impression with the colour and viewing of indirect lighting in the person it is the interest in the composition!

Albert,
absolutely great shot. Not only the slightly blurred person to the left is fantastic but also the light distribution, specifically on the Buddha's face.

Hi Albert!
In my gallery I have a shot of this fantastic statue from a totally different POV and in my archive, some from this one.
You managed the light very well and I like the golden tones in the dark surrounding. The person walking there works well for the composition.

Excellent shot of this Buddha, Albert, which I photographed myself in about 1977! Well chosen viewpoint and good exposure. I would not have been using a polariser in this situation, but perhaps it has contributed to the rich colour of the gold plate. The man's figure in the corner does indeed give a sense of the scale.

Andrew

hi Albert
The gold color tone is strong and stands out in this statue. Good vertical composition to show the height and scale although the man is a little blur and the ceiling is just a bit dark. But a good interior shot using natural light at 1/5s.

Hi Albert, good shot of this reclining Buddha. Shot was taken in difficult circumstances yet you still have good clarity and colour. The inclusion of the man on the lower left gives a good indication of scale.
Thanks, John

There have been so many photos of this statue but yours is really special, the Buddha seems to have a benevolent smile on the passing man - colours, light and specially POV are great !
Compliments,
Cath.

Albert,
I'm glad that you've included a figure in this shot - other than the buddha ;) - without which the vast scale would simply not be apparent to us.
Somehow this buddha's lazy eye, half closed, seems to peer down upon this man, almost, to my mind, as if something so small would not trouble him. Like a man and a little beetle.

Hi Albert,
it's a great photo, and it's good that there's a man beside the Reclining Buddha: at least we can see the scale and compare the sizes of a human being and the statue. Well... and also compare and think of something divine and earthly :)
Nice warm colours, the golden colour is clearly seen. I think the colours are exactly as they are in real :)
Also, you chose the right POV. I remember that it's next to impossible to take a photo of "the whole" Buddha statue (with nothing to block it in the forwground) from another angle.
TFS!
best regards,
Elena
