2 weeks in TE. This is my first HDR shot. I took 3 shots of these using the AEB feature of my Nikon D50 camera. All 3 shots where at taken at ISO 200,f18.0,1/1250 secs, focal length 18 mm. Raw editor is Photoshop CS3.

Taken somewhere outside Bangkok. The silhouette below are Bangkok sky scrappers.

Thanks for all the tips.

Hola Miguel, is a very attractive image and I like the contrast of the luminosity of the sky with the dark shades in Bangkok, congratulations for this work.

Un saludo y hasta pronto

Hello Miguel,
Very well seen and captured.
The contrasting sky makes it an eye-catching scene. HDR treatment has worked well.
Regards
Santo

Excellent result from the HDR. It looks almost Biblical. I like how you have been able to show all the rays filtering through the clouds. Well done
Kath

Hi Miguel,
A bit dark on the bottom. The exploding sky with the sunrays is for sure very attractive to see. You did well on the hdr and the big blue part makes it very colourful in this image....well done.
Regards, Henk

Dramatic image, the light is well managed and great tonal range.
cheers,
CT

Hello Miguel and welcome to TE!
I wonder if this phenomenon is what one calls "The Glory". It certainly is impressive, so dark with that big opening of light, and beautiful colors. I enjoy to see the skyscrapers below. Maybe the right part is a bit too dark ? A very good piece of work, I like this a lot.

Best regards

hi Miguel

Good capture of the sky. I suggest you add category of HPP for any HDR work.

Hi Miguel.

Hi Miguel, I like the effect you have with the light over the cloud and the deep shadow below, but while the highlights have worked out well, it may still be a little dark on the city. It this is what you wanted then it worked, but you may be able to get more range than this if you want.

I would suggest when you try your next HDR that you set your ISO and aperture, then manually determine what you need for exposure (speed wise) in the highlights and shadow areas. Then with your camera on a tripod (and with cable or remote if possible) shoot the longest time, a mid time, and then shortest time (as a minimum, more shots could be better) to get the full range. Be careful if you are doing this with a cloud. They move, and you could end up with differences between your shots. You have to be quick with something like this. And let me know when you've done it. I don't want to miss this.

Thanks, and very good effort, John

Hi Miguel,
Few photos but very good ones!. I like this one, the high contrast between the clouds and the light arising behind them. Very chromatic shot.
My compliments

Keep on!

Hello Miguel,
Bienvenue sur TE(avec un peu de retard:-)
De superbes couleurs et une très jolie lumière.
Beau contraste avec l'avant plan foncé.
Best regards
Denise

Hi Miguel,
Your first HDR with a good result. Your work with the bracketing takes a good visual effect by the contrast between the exposure in the landscape and in the sky.
I like to see the sunbeams that try to cross the clouds, in a dramatic and attractive image.
Beautiful composition.
Best regards,
Josep

Hi Miguel,
A dramatic light display and well captured. Using HDR is a right option and with more trials you should get even better results. I like how the strong light seemed to explode from the clouds and the blue against the grey in the lower portion is most appealing. The dodge tool can easily be applied to brightened a little bit more the area just below the dark clouds to accentuate the light passing through it. A lovely moment well frozen!!

Regards and thanks.

Hello MIGUEL,
