I spotted this beautiful temple while on my way to the palace in Bangkok. This is Wat Benchamabophit popularly known as Marble Temple. I was with a Thai friend that time and told me that this place is always filled with tourist so i'm lucky enough to see only few of them.

The construction of the temple began in 1899 toward the end of King Rama V's reign. Is is called "Marble Temple" because the walls are covered with marble brought from Italy. The yellow roof tiles are Chinese and has stained-glass windows as well as massive marble (guardian lions), flanking the doors.

Hello Miguel,

A very well chosen pov to get maximum details of this very beautiful building and display them against a soft blue sky.
Well saturated, but natural colours.
Interesting notes.

Well done,
Bev :-)

Many thanks for your comments on 'Brooding clouds ...'

Hi Miguel and welcome to TE! Your portfolio is small in numbers yet, but very impressive and shows a great deal of potential!

In this particular one you share with us a great architecture photo, the composition is simple but ideal for this kind of photography, and although the sun wasn't on your side yoou have managed the light very well. Beautiful colours, too! Congratulations!

Best regards,
Hercules

Hi Miguel,
an attracting architectural shot in a nice light, technically excellent. I like the shape of the roofs, reminds me of the roofs of Minangkabao people in Sumatra. Good one !
Cheers from Austria, Chris

Hello Miguel,

I imagine the interior of this little temple is beautiful. The outside is striking from an architectural point of view. The design is elegant and the surroundings very well landscaped. Nice image with good use of light and colours. The angle is effective to capture two faces of the building. Thanks Miguel.

Hi Miguel.

Great picture here! You have taken up a good point of view and have included a good composition. I think it is also nice and sharp!

Well done!

Italy marble!?!
Wow, they really made something nice out of it.
The angle shows just enough architecture & decor, the lines & curves blending in the golden light of the moment.
