Photographer’s Note

These colourful red lanterns were at the entrance to the Paragon shopping malls in downtown Bangkok.
At night they looked even better, but I did not have my camera with me then.

Hello Chris,
The red lanterns provide a good perspective up the stairway, which seems to go on forever. The people climbing the steps contribute to the mood. Very good colour contrasts and excellent sharpness throughout.

The perspective is deep and the framing is very well-chosen to obtain this good result.
The red lanterns offer a beautiful graphism with a great chromatism because of its vivid red color.
The people add a good dynamism and also a good reference of the scale of this place.
