Stacks of fresh banana leaves in Pak Klong Talad, one of Bangkok's busy flower and vegetable markets. Banana leaves are used extensively in Thai cooking, flower displays and much more.
Their sharp green colour and the manner in which they were neatly stacked, like newspapers, caught my eye.
Photo is unaltered apart from the added frame. |

Hi Mike,
I like it! I like close-ups, so here I'm lucky. And I like to see structure, structure in material and structure óf material together. The green colours, the sides of the pack. Nice composition! I like it!
Maybe it's because I'm living in Indonesia and my nasi or mihoen is packed every day in these leafs and for that reason I indirectly make the association between your picture and my lunch hahaha :-).
Greetings! Dennis
Another interesting idea for a graphic shot of stall produce. I don't think it works quite as well the crabs, but still pity good. Maybe worth getting in closer.
Hi,
A very good idea to take a photo of banana leaves!
I love taking photos from the minimum distance, too!
Then I can see many details like for example texture of the product :)
It's a wonderfulllllll shot!
