Visitors to Thailand's Bangkok must have been awestruck by the gamut of shopping centers throughout the city - but how about some alternative shopping on the Chao Phraya River?

Women like this in the picture earn their living selling foodstuff and tourist paraphernalia to visitors on tourist boats. The Chao Phraya River remains a key source of life for many Thais in the capital city - whether it is for showering, transport, laundry, or business.
