Photographer's Note
This is the famous Reclining Buddha. Had posted a close-up of it long back.
It is located in the Rattanakosin district directly adjacent to the Grand Palace, the official name of the temple is Wat Phra Chettuphon Wimon Mangkhlaram.
Wat Pho or Wat Phra Chetuphon, is located behind the splendid Temple of the Emerald Buddha. It's the largest temple in Bangkok and famed for its huge and majestic reclining Buddha measured 46 metres long and covered in gold leaf. The Buddha's feet are 3 metres long and exquisitely decorated in mother-of-pearl illustrations of auspicious 'laksanas' (characteristics) of the Buddha.
The Temple is also known to be the birthplace of the traditional Thai Massage.

Namaskar dear Arunava
Ahh the reclining Buddha, he seems to like relaxing alot, as I saw a reclining Buddha also in Malaysia (Penang). Excellent perspective and choice of the vertical frame, which gives extra details and perspective from the inclusion of the ceiling. Did you experiment at all with the White Balance here? I think in doing so, the yellow tones of the Buddha may have been "toned down" a little. But white balance is usually such a subjective thing.
Warmest regards

Namate Arunava
This hugh reclining Buddha lay on a frame nicely and the rich warm colours radiate giving life to the image. It's a nice shot, & from diff angle. I'm sure everyone else will have gone for the shot from the foot like this. Excellent still life image with superb color & very good clarity. And the depth is immensed!
P/S Imho, May be you can try and tone down the contrast a little a bit for more pleasing result. Also many thanks for the infor note about 'dholak' on my last post. Have a great weekend.
Kind regards

Hi Arunava
Another wonderful point of view, although I have seen this amazing statue before, never from this angle. IT works beautifully adding depth and great scale to it, and the colours and light are rich and beautiful to behold. The depth is enhanced by the circular carved objects on the right too.
best wishes
Noel
