[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Not really sure about which temple ruin this is, there are so many of these scattered around Ayuthaya that after a day looking at temples I tend to get pretty confused:)

I chose the B+W for this one, as I believe it fits the subjects well.

Another shot from a different trip, but with similar PP you can find here

Hello Harry!
Really great effect in your black/white composition!
Beautiful ruins and very god your point of view!
Excellent done!
Best regards!
Lili

Very nice result of your BW photo...almost beginning to look like a charcoal sketch...Thanks for sharing..Alex

Harry-

This definitely translates well into B&W.

Also, with your loose dodging and burning, it has taken on an air of old time photographs. The over-exposed highlights also contribute to this effect. This is done very well (as are many others in your gallery).

Hi Harry,
Stunning shot! The B/W can sometimes be such a powerful medium. Love your POV and composition, looks like a fascinating place. Would love to visit one day.

Shaeri

Harry,
that is absolutely brilliant. The composition with the different tilted towers is very good and that PP with B&W gives the feeling of these old scientific discovery drawings from the 18th century. It is so good that I' starting to think of getting rid of Adobe Photoshop and buying the same software as you do (just kidding, that was a $700 investment), but I think you get the idea of how good it is!

Hi Harry,
fine PP, amazing effect, good stylized photo on the old postcard or graphical image. Unusual place. Good work. I like it.

Hi Harry.
Actually, being in b&w and no person in frame this looks like it could have been taken over a hundred years ago. That's a compliment ;D Like the pp work you have done also which seems to give it a gritty look.
Be back.

hi harry
It's a truly captivating post.I think the composition has gained a lot from black and white conversion.

Hi Harry,
great treatment in PP, with a fantastic result. The B&N gives to more hardness and personality to the excellent composition. It is a photography with a different and attractive architecture, excellent perspective.

Salut, Jordi

This is a perfect idea to chose B/W for this picture.
I love to visit Ayuthaya again some time in summer.

Hi Harry,
Well of course I knew this was one of yours from the thumbnail without even having to check! The BW and Clarify filter work really well on these subjects. I like the surreal, otherworldly atmosphere and the slightly loose, uncluttered composition that gives plenty of space to the ruins. Makes me think a little of paintings by De Chirico (such as The Disquieting Muses), particularly the ruin right in the centre.

Hi Harry
A picture that seems to come out of time, long ago.
Very nostalgic. You gave a lot of mood with the choice of B&W.By doing this, it is more then a collection of stones.

Good POV, yes really, not just a cliché, we see that you took care to place yourself in such a way that all the towers are separated from the next, and the cloud cover is just ideal.
well done
Charles

Hello Harry,
I hope you're enjoying your break with the family? This is a fine shot and well PP, it looks almost like a pencil sketch and would make a good postcard. I recognised it from the thumbnail as one of yours, and rightly, you're building a fine reputation, well done.

Regards,

Stephen

Hi Harry,

Beautiful B&W photo! There are some halos around the ruins, but this doesn't bother at all, I guess it makes part of the PP. Very nice composition and great detail. Did you use the dodge and burn technique? Well done!

Greetings,
Thomas
