oui, la lumière était difficile et je trouve que tu t'en es bien sorti! C'est vrai que son regard est assez envoûtant et qu'il a l'air presque humain...Y'a de la texture et le cadrage serré sied bien à ce portrait.

Hi Laurent,
I love the light coming from the one side and really making the amazing details stand out. I like that we can even see the dust on the head. Good depth of field and a nice idea to present the statue as a portrait.

La lumière à laquelle tu fais allusion dans ta note me semble désirable, en ce sens qu'elle apporte beaucoup de dimension à cette statue en soulignant ces traits avec intensité. Tu as bien géré ton exposition, puisque tu étais en conditions difficiles et que rien n'a été brûlé.

Laurent this is an excellent portrait. The statue really look alive and the eyes seem to stare straight into the lens. Very good use of light to enhance the colours and details. The framing is also very effective to isolate the face and bright robe. Good work Laurent.

Un portrait qui fait un peu peur, mais il est quand même bien cadré, bien exposé. J'aime l'aspect sombre de la photo .... cela va avec le sujet.

Olá Laurent, I had to read your note to see if he was alive or was just a statue...The light is magical and the mix of golden and dark parts make it a very expressive and attractive artwork. Really impressive (non)living portrait with excellent details.

Great framing with excellent light management while some of the credit for the feeling of life must go to the sculptor for the realistic detail in this statue. Well seen.

Très belle image en conditions difficiles.
Le sujet n'est pas exactement au milieu du cadre, mais l'image est partagée en deux precises moitiés, les unes éclairées par la lumière, les autres à l'ombre.

En regardant le vignette, je me suis demandé si c'était un portrait humain. Une lumière un peu difficile mais qui perme tde garder un peu de mystère à ce portrait.

Il est un peu poussiereux, je me demande s'il ne serait pas un peu surex... mais il est mystérieux et vraiment intriguant... Et çà, c'est très sympa. Et puis la tunique accentue la sensation de bi-chromie ce qui est également très bon.

The light has a fantastic effect coming from the right & highlighting the features. It appears that this statue of a monk had been plastered with gold leaves once upon a time. You also got the texture on the cloth very well. Good work!
