Photographer's Note

One of the buildings - part of the The Royal Palace complex on the territory of Bang Pa-In Island in the Chao Phraya River.

Bang Pa In is sutuated in Ayutthaya province 60 kilometers (40 miles) north of Bangkok. The palace itself dates back to the 17th century, pre-dating the establishment of Bangkok as the capital.

Today, the palace is only used infrequently, and then mostly for state occasions rather than as a royal summer residence.
The photo was taken with a Samsung film camera and scanned from a Kodak negative film. I thought long whether to post it here, among a huge amount of digital photos. Anyway I thought the image may be of interest for those who would like to get to know Thailand :)
