A short series of pictures during a visit to Bang Pa-in palace in Thailand, some 33 miles (55 kilometres) north of the capital Bangkok.
Here is some information from Wikipedea:
Bang Pa-In Royal Palace, also known as the Summer Palace, is a palace complex formerly used by the Thai kings. The palace is located on the Chao Phraya River bank in Bang Pa-In district, Ayutthaya Province
King Prasat Thong originally constructed the complex in 1632, and though it lay empty and overgrown throughout the late 18th and early 19th centuries, King Mongkut began to restore the site in the mid-19th century. Most of the present buildings were constructed between 1872 and 1889 by King Chulalongkorn.
The facilities include vast gardens and landscaping, Wehart Chamrunt (Heavenly Light), a Chinese-style royal palace and throne room; the Warophat Phiman (Excellent and Shining Heavenly Abode), a royal residence; Ho Withun Thasana (Sages' Lookout), a brightly painted lookout tower; and the Aisawan Thiphya-Art (Divine Seat of Personal Freedom), a pavilion constructed in the middle of a pond.
The palace and grounds are largely open to visitors, as King Bhumibol Adulyadej and his family use it only rarely for banquets and special occasions.

Une belle image de ce temple sur pilotis. Tu l'as bien cadré et la luminosité met l'ensemble en valeur.

a lovely and elengant composition that gives us a very interesting view of the palace. The association of the two very different architectural styles is fascinating. I like very much the warm light and the way it has affected both the strong and the pale colours. The reflections offer an enchanting softness to the picture. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely Easter!

Hello Stephen, lovely image here, i like this south eastern-asian architecture. The colors on the small building are amazing. Nice blue sky. Well placed off-center the composition. Good take.

Another very pleasing shot from your Thailand set. You captured the light perfectly in this one, when over-exposure would have been likely with so many white and pale yellow surfaces. Might I suggest a crop from the bottom of the photo, removing the patch of grass and lowering the horizon a little? Just a thought.

The distance between the pavilion and the palace is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colours of the architecture of the pavilion. The good luminosity is enhancing the colours. Have a nice day.

Un très beau point de vue sur le petit temple au milieu du petit lac. L'image est douce et jouit d'une belle lumière. La qualité des détails est bonne.

loving this series of shots, everything looks so clean and well cared for. The lines and detailing here are just captivating as is the subtle and gentle light. Fascinating and beautiful.

A magnificent view over the pond and golden pavilion on mid-water's.
Fine outlines of the two edifices contrast with red & white.
The green piece of lawn on lower left, gave scale to the distance over the place, made good choice by leaving it on picture.
Enjoy a nice weekend,

una bella differenza tra le due architetture, la composizione le mette in relazione facendi apprezzare le forme e le geometrie di entrambe.

What a cool idea to have a little madmade island with a building like that on it. Incredible detail in the roof of it. I am guessing this is a folly of some sort as opposed to a working building? Looks excellent.
I like the contrast in the styles as well, a great idea to include the building on the left which looks surprisingly western in style. The temple like building in the lake however cements where this is.
Thanks for sharing, and Happy Easter.

Hello Stephen - the light you caught here is great, nice and bright, and well reflected in the water. Beautiful pavilion here, and an immaculately kept area! I agree with Andrew (macondo) that perhaps a crop at bottom might remove a bit of a distraction, but overall a beautiful location and recording! Thanks!

une photo bien lumineuse de ce palace sur l'eau, plutôt entouré d'eau, le contraste avec le batiment sur la gauche, de beaux reflets et un bel environnement

Hi Stephen. Architecture in Thai style. The beautiful pavilion in the pond is a place of interest. Informative text. The photo reminds me of my stay in Thailand a few years ago.

Nice rather modern palace and traditional pavilion on the pond. Isn't it amazing that Bhumibol Adulyadej is reigning the country almost 67 years(one month more than I live :)).
Warm regrads from still in snow Warsaw
