One of several pictures taken at Wat Na Phra Men in Ayutthaya
The name of this temple means the temple in front of the royal pyre, sometimes called Wat Na Phra Meru is situated off Ayutthaya City Island, opposite the formal Grand Palace in the northern area in Tha Wasukri district.
The temple was constructed in the 1500s during the reign of King Ramathibodi. It also has been used as a Royal cremation area.
This temple is still considerably in its original condition being one of the few temples not to have been destroyed by the Burmese in the sacking of .Ayutthaya in 1760. In fact, the temple was used by the Burmese as a camp and gun emplacement during the attackon the city.
Wat Na Phra Men was repaired in 1835 to 1838 during the reign of Rama III of Bangkok’s Chakry dynasty.

Beautiful indoor shot using the available light inside this Wat. The worshipers in green tops provide excellent contrast in this shot.
Thanks and kind regards.

This is a very difficult shot because of the lighting and movement. Your pov does give us an impression of taking part with the worshippers, where there is a lovely feeling of calm
The main focus is on the Buddha, which is great.
My only suggestion would be to rotate a degree or two to the left, as the curtains give the impression that the shot is leaning.
Have a lovely day,

Interestingly shown inside the temple. Excellent POV and composition, with a beautiful golden statue of Buddha in the center and worshipers. Beautiful colors and good sharpness, despite the difficult light.

a fascinating interior shot this, and obviously popular and inspirational. The atmosphere is palpable and the beauty clearly visible in this wonderful shot.
Have a great week - regards Brian.

I love the pose of the statues you have been posting from this temple, wise and calm and serene, just the feeling I guess they should portray! The gold colour of the statue does look superb against the green of the worshippers.
All the best

Stephen, an interesting combination of those praying and those touring. The statue itself is beautifully framed in exquisitely decorated columns, which you've done a great job capturing. The photo does feel as though it leans a little left. Thanks.

Almost missed this one. I like the repetition of the devotees in their green shirts. Well managed interior lighting with a good exposure and excellent sharpness and dof. I may have rotated a little more to the left so that the gold Buddha statue is more perpendicular. Tfs!

The columns are framing well the statue. The presence of the people is adding life to the scene. The point of view is showing the détails and colours of the statue. The surrounding light is bringing out the colours. Have a nice day.
