Photographer’s Note
This is the Saphakan Ratchaprayun (Assembly hall for Royal relatives) of the Bang Pa In summer palace compound. As its name implies, this colonial-style two-storey structure was built in 1879 for King Chulalongkorn's brothers and their suites.
The Palace is near the old capitol of Ayutthaya about 60km north of Bangkok. Although royal residencies from the island are known from at least the 1632, the present-day royal palace dates from the reign of King Chulalongkorn (1868-1910), when most of the buildings standing today were constructed between 1872-1889. the building styles within the palace compound reflect the King’s interest in architecture with European, Chines and Thai styles all being represented.
Today the palace is used occasionally by Their Majesties King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) and Queen Sirikit as a residence and for holding receptions and banquets.

Chris,
This is a nice shot of this colorful building. The reflection is great providing depth and balance for the scene. The angle of the shot works well giving the shot a sense of direction. The trees provide nice framing for the shot.

Hello Chris,
A good point of view on this interesting and attractively decorated building. I like the perspective and the lovely reflections in the dark waters. Very good sharpness. Thanks for sharing.
