Kishlak (Village) of Basmanda (more than 8000 inhabitants) is situated on the right bank of the Yanghiarik River in the Ghonchi District of Sughd Province. It was the first mountainous village in our way towards the Obburdon Pass (3961 m above the sea level) over the Turkestan Range. The picture was taken from the left bank of the containing little water Yanghiarik River, where the Yanghiariki-Bolo Kishlak is located.

This is truly an extraordinary landscape.
It's amazing to find this green and fertile land with lots of trees between the grey cliffs and the arid rugged mountain slopes. The cliffs look very spectacular.
Best regards, Paul

Good morning Sergiy,
fascinating the view as the presentation of these rock formations that looks like to are engraved from a man's hand.
I like the created layers with the middle to adds contrast in the whole image.

A beautiful and also highly interesting view with the green band across the picture. But it looks quite dangerous build here, the green band seems like to be a victim for the serious erosion along the river below. But a very attractive picture, all the same!

Very interesting natural details, specially those of those river banks! Contrast between land covered by vegetation and not also catches my eye!
Truly attractive picture!
Sharpness, exposure, colors, horizontal format, chosen pov and composition are all excellent!

amazing view. There are so many layers here, each one having different texture. Very interesting how often the upper ground slides down. I see some trees are already down ready to slide down. If it goes too fast the town may disappear. I like very much your reportage from this rarely seen on TE country,
Very well done!!

A fabulous composition and strange phenomenon, the forms that created the erosion in arid lands, as a counterpoint to the fertile plain that we see on it, in turn contrasts with the dryness of the mountains in the background, certainly a spectacular and wonderful picture , something different.
Beautiful colorful natural.
Magnificent both luminosity, as sharpness.
Very well done.
I wish you a happy start to the week.

a fascinating landscape, each of the layers of your composition has its own character and charm and all of them together describe a unique place. It's very interesting to think how this marvellous scenery determines the way people lead their lives there. The lighting variations have been captured very efficiently making the view really evocative. The natural colours are great. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely week,

I saw similar landscapes in peru with cultivated terraces oppressed between the high banks of the rivers and the high mountains. Here it is impressive the beauty of the texture of the slope. fantastic image. TFS.
