Photographer's Note
This is the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Tower in Taipei, Taiwan as viewed from the flower gardens of nearby 228 Park at midnight. It’s place as the tallest landmark in this bustling Asian city of three million people has recently been lost to the new 101 Financial center only a few kilometers in the trendy east end of town. For many however it is still the heart of downtown Taipei and a symbol of Taiwan’s economic strength in the region. The foreground of this 6 second exposure was illuminated with a hand-held Canon speedlite. This is my first photo submission to Trek Earth and the camera used was a Canon 300D with the EF-S 18-55 mm lens.
