You see these all over Taiwan. Smallish carts, on wheels, but powered via a car battery and propane which amount to streetside restaurants. These are very popular and inexpensive spots for a delicious boost of fat and salt.
Here, one of the specialties is stinky tofu (on the left). Taiwan is quite well known for this delicasy, which is exactly as the name implies. Fried tofu, which is appalling to the olfactory, but spicy and delicious if you can get past its scent.

Hello Darren. The photo is worth seeing, - and well described. You caught the atmosphere well. A really alive and authentic picture. Very beautifully. Best regards, Wolfgang.

I like the way you captured the situation here. The cut head and hand in the front creates a strange compo (that I like).

Great photo. Your choice of POV has created an intimate and cheerful atmosphere, I think you've captured the joy of eating very well. Along with the note it's also a very informative picture.

This is a very, very nice shot and clearly underrated, Darren. The control over the nasty fluorescent lighting is examplary, as is the touch of motion blur you allowed in the waitress.
A really top notch upload.

mmmmm... a big fan of the stuff, my mouth is watering... aren't we lucky?... a good rendering of a typical scene... your usual high quality, i envy how the colour/contrast/sharpness identifies your photos immedietaly, i just can't get this kind of constancy with my 30d..
just perhaps a tad too much barrel distortion for me on top... love the bottom part though, that hand makes the shot...

You captured the atmosphere of the place well, Darren. Crowded, cramped, busy--only the wide angle can bring that out. How else could you take in that hand at the bottom that is the essential accent? Nice rich color everywhere, and the metal really glows. Regards, Ken.

I recognize well one of your favourite subjects. I think your photography is very frequently attracted by the smell of the surrounding world ;o)). I even bet you can't resist tasting all the specialties you photograph, so you can eat your images later on in the evening when there's nothing left in the fridge. I love how the wide angle allows you to show a maximum of elements in the scene without being intrusive. Best.

I quite like it.. Its an interesting effect. I like how you have filled up all of the little spaces with people and heads. The exposure is really lovely.
How long left now??

damn you're tall! ;-)
This is a very nice streetstall shot. Amazing how invisible you seem here. All the faces are into their own thing. Excellent.
