Just messing around a bit at the Jhongsan Art gallery, which is really just a wall connecting MRT stations. Sometimes they hang some interesting things there, although not today IMO.
This little guy didn't seem much to care for it either.
I am messing about with a Lightroom Preset I downloaded here. Some kind of cool stuff there, and considering how much I prefer actions in Photoshop to donig things myself, I was happy to find the site.
Truthfully, I am probably happier with the title and with the effect of the preset than I am with the photo itself.

To be frank Darren...
I am finding very hard to understand what is this?
This is art..Ok...
But What you want to tell in this Photo.
This is differnt & unique than what you post till today.
As a change it is fine but This is difficult image to understand.

Hello Darren, honestly, I don't really know what you have tried here besides the Lightroom Preset... while the three paintings are giving a somewhat graphic feel to the composition, the child is in my opinion waaaay too blurred to even make out in the foreground. Not speaking of the title... what inspired you to say that? Or am I missing something?
Love your work but this is not your best, Darren...

I'll be less harsh than my colleagues, considering that I quite like the overall rendering and that a tri-divided composition can stop me at once, even at full browsing speed.
Now what is less impressive is that we can hardly notice the young guy passing by and ignoring the artshow. I suppose that's a case of a wrong selection of a slow shuter speed, perhaps around 1/10 would have done the trick by giving him more "presence" into the scene.. there should also be more processing wizardry involved... :) like contrasting a bit more of his silhouette.

Very nicely & graphically designed.
The tone is very subtile and give an oldish feeling to modern art. However he message you wanted to convey is not straighforward, the kid's silhouette does not stand out for me ... a bit faster shutter would help to refine the shape ('Im sure you have one ;o).

I like the compo, the kid in a nice movement blur , running from the paintings :))

I read Luko's critique and the others with great interest, of course, and they have a point about the lack of visibility of our little ghost, who is after all the STAR of this thing, but you know what, Darren, I LIKE this pic, reminds more than a bit of some of Homerhomer's adventurous arty stuff which I also liked. I couldn't give you less than the two pearls...even thugh it is tempting to give you the half, just for payback LOL!

I really like what I think you were trying to convey here, but I think you allowed the childs image to blur a little too much. Had he/she been a little more in focus, this would clear things up a lot. Cheers, Paul.

very cool, i like the conversion! very nice tones.. the vignetting effect is a bit bothersome though and i wish the ground was flat, that edge (handrail?) breaks the parallel geometry a bit... would be nice if the kid was clearer too, of course..
