Yesterday I was out shooting with a friend and came across this guy. Seems the traditional forum of bifocals wasn't what he wanted, so he improvised.

Jajaja, Muy buena foto, la verdad muy divertido este viejo. El bokeh no es el mejor pero aśn logra un muy buen efecto.

Darren: I know that, upon seeing this, you got back into a cab and went back home to get your camera... It's a shot unable to pass up. The topic matter of your shot would be great even without skillful exectution. best, c

funny scene, well taken :)
I can see big letters on the newspaper... I don't know if it's enough for this man :)

Funny shot. Good portrait. Very sharp with good dof. Interesting way to read the newspaper. Well done.

That's really perfection, Darren, you have scored HUGE with this one, part of the thanks maybe, goes to the K10D, FA77mm combi. What a LENS, eh? What bokeh!
Congrats on your upgrade to the K10D by the way. But realy this one is so carefully crafted, so sharp where it needs to be, vague for the rest. Reminds me of some of Gringofil's meticulous works...

Hello Darren, I particularly like the natural colors and the smoothness of the whole image, most certainly a result of your equipment. Funny character also proving we can achieve anything from the moment we can make our imagination work.

Very funny shot Darren, and quality too. I would have had trouble holding the camera still! Excellent composition and good use of DOF. Regards, Roberto

Love it... humorous but especially inventive. A very nice work, well caught, Darren. The Chinese script visible in his paper is a great addition, as is the bokeh, so soft. His expression is also unique. Hope this bifocal problem won;t happen to me soon...:-)

haha! i wonder if they're actually glued together.. i like the framing (about as tight as it gets).. amazing quality (man that's sharp! and what beautiful bokeh..) like gal said, very smooth and natural, something that i've only seen with the high end canons/nikons with some top lenses!

Great portrait here Darren. Nice and sharp, and full of character, but I might have cropped off that post on the left handside as it seems to be piecing his back!

Very funny shot Darren, further enhanced with the quality of the image in general. Nice work.

HAHAHA, does it work with two lenses and a camera??? The man is obvioulsy great, and the photo is well taken too. Th colors look very natural and the bokeh is very nice!
77mm, strange focal length for a prime!!!

The human Rolleiflex.
Good background bokeh quality with simple patterns and consistent colors, although it's very easy slipping out of the photo from he bottom right hand side where tones are too pale. next time consider closing your photos a bit, adding some PP vignetting.

thi sis a very nice portrait Darren, very well done - the technical quality is very high, and the character is quite unusual, well seen and captured

Amazing! And quite funny, Darren! Nicely seen. Love that sharp foreground, tight cropping, seizing of just the right moment, and that winsomely curious look on the man's face.

This is a very amazing portrait. I really appreciate its sharpness and the nice bokeh eliminating distracting elements.
I hope it was as sharp for the guy ;-)
