Maolin is situated in southeast Kaohsiung County,
in an area covered mostly by virgin forest.
The Maolin area has many distinctive natural features of its own; including waterfalls, gorges, mountain streams, forests teeming with native wildlife, and hot springs. Visitors can enjoy such activities as hiking, camping, mountain climbing, river trekking, white-water rafting.
Originates from the Central Mountains, the Jhuokou River cuts through the entire Maolin, as you can see in this photo.
I hope to lead you view from the top-left corner to the right side, where a tourist was sitting there, then to the bottom rock where I stood on.
The typhoon just left last week. The river was full of water whose color was like jade. Faster shutter speed was used to show the fast flow of the water. |

Jim~
The faster shutter speed sure did the trick, you were very successful in showing the water flow. The tourist to the left really gives you an idea of the size of the landscape, he looks so small against those huge rocks. Well done!
