[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The movement of the tides attracted me most when looking for a suitable composition at this beach. I used a diagonal line made by the boulder in the foreground and other rocks in the middle to build the leading view. The warm sun ray peeping through clouds at the end of the diagonal line is a bonus.

Looks surreal but I like it.

Hi Jim,

Very clever composition and excellent implementation of your idea.
I like very much the colors, the POV and the framing. TFS.

Best regards
Michael

Hello Jim !
I really like your shot ! Good idea and excellent use of a long exposure time for the tide. It looks like just a breath !
The POV with the rock the water has to bypass is excellent.
Regards,

Matthieu

Hi Jim.

Great shot. I was reading about how to take good wave motion pictures and it mentioned having something in the foreground for the water to move around, creating a better effect. I think you have managed this very well! Great composition and colours. Well done

Hi Jim,
an outstanding clear light and an enormous depth that you got here. Very attracting.
Compliments, Chris

Hi Jim. It's very nice shot. Good lights and composition. Congratulations!

excellent! taiwan is such a nice place i want to go back to! tfs, alan.

Jim,

The rock is rough while the wave is soft. Great contrary. But I don't think that the the cloud is necessary. Posted another version in the workshop.
