Hello Bill,
I just came across this exotic photograph from last June, and indeed your gallery. What I particularly like in this "portrait" is that you've placed one eye of the subject (here the left) right on the vertical centerline. It was discovered in 1998 by Christopher Tyler, British born San Francisco psychologist, that in all great portraits by the masters, from Leonardo to Rembrandt, and Van Gogh to Picasso, one eye of the subject is right on the centerline (e.g. in the Mona Lisa.). This is a principle never taught in art schools, but rather intuitively it seems the truly talented painter invokes this principle. (I wrote about this in both of my books on Leonardo.) I see that you were a fellow educator.
Warm regards from Virginia.
