Photographer’s Note
It's the first day in 2007. Everything seems so nice. There were gentle breeze, waves, and golden sand at this Bach. Few people were hanging around it too.
A mother and her girl were watching to the right side. What were they looking at? Just use your imagination. I like their long shadows left on the sand. Everything is peaceful.
Maybe you will wander why not use a ND grad filter to balance the light between the sky and the sea. 2 reasons for this question:
1.I had too short time to use a ND grad filter.
They moved quickly.
2.The sun was shining at the right side.
I just wanted to show you what I saw at the scene.
So gave up the ND grad filter.
Hope you get a nice new year.

Hello Jim,
I like the idea behind this fine image!
Well composed and with rich eye-catching colours...
The long shadows add to my experience, but I might try to change the shooting angle to avoid direct sun!

Hi Jim
This is a great shot. I too spent the first day of 2007 on the beach - but it was far from tranquil here (Gold Coast, Australia).
The warms colours of the sand are a nice contrast with the sea. The sun does affect the right a little bit, but nothing bad, I think. The flare does give the feel of the scene.
Good work.
Cheers
