[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
After taking a short break from Trekearth I've decided to post again. My absence being work related, and a short vacation to Taiwan. I'm gonna be posting some photos from my trip over the next couple of weeks. It was a good trip and a welcome change from Korea.

The first thing that hit my as odd when I entered Taiwan was the sheer volume of scooters. I've traveled to South East Asia and seen lots of bikes, but Taiwan seems to have a lot more. I think I read somewhere that there's around 10 million of them in Taiwan.

They seem to rule the road resulting in perilous crossings at junctions. On the plus side they provide ample chances for photography and I decided to try my hand at panning. My panning style isn't perfect, but I'm giving it lots of attention and practice!

Obviously in this scene the bike was going fairly slow, but I was able to capture some other forms of transport at the same time.

Hi Will,
perfect asian street image IMO. The way I use to see it on tv or movies... Never gone there yet but I think I will love : )
The dynamism is amazing and the colors perfect.
Well done!
Fred

Hi Will,
Excellent panning (I can't get the hang of that) to keep the two guys on the scooter sharp and to accentuate the busy street scene by having everything else in a blur.
Very effective.
Peter

attractive blur(s)! the light is just perfect to go with it, and above all, the colors. the motion has in itself a harmony, evrything in front seems to move right of the frame.
good take.
Arnab

Hello Will,

The panning is perfectly done here; The Scooter is sharp sharp with the motion blur in the BG. A busy street scene.
