I am by no means a landscape guy. Stuff like that is much harder than it appears to me. Anyways, I am willing to learn and this shot is part of that. This was taken at Yehliu, at dusk.
No filters, tripod mounted, with a 2 second mirror lock up and cable release used, ISO 200, focal length 20mm. Normal post processing, other than a slight rotation and associated crop to level the horizon. The look of the water is due of course to the long shutter time.

Very nice. A far better composition than the usual beach/sea shot.
I can hear those pebbles scrunching in the surf.
You've bravely not followed the 'rule of thirds' here - and made a success of it. Congrats.

You are indeed more famous because of your portraits and daily life pictures, but this is a great landscape shot Darren. The long shuttertime works great and the colours look very natural. Is that really a person standing on the rock in the distance? Looks pretty difficult to get up there...

This indeed is a very nice landscape, slow shutter speed works here very well showing the movement of the water, colours are great and composition is well balanced. Some of the rocks in the foreground look organized, hence I wonder if they are all crated by nature or they are remains of some structure.

Hi Darren, in addition to the water effect due to the long exposure, I see a superb light and vivid colors in this photo. Coming back to the water I like the way it seems to move between the rocks like fog, visible in the foreground.

The long exposure work very well, as already stated. Gives a more mysterious look and a nice contrast to the sharp, defined colorful stones in the foreground.

Very well done, thanx to long exposure! Good composition. Nice work.

I really like this shot.
The use of the long shutter speed gives a nice feeling of tranquility and it contrasts with the sharpness of the rest.

There is wonderful colour and sharpness in the rocks that I love. The time effect on the water is great too.

Ha - I see a new landscape photographer emerging :-) Seriously, I think this one is very good, Darren. Apart from the nice effect on the water from the 2sec shutter time, I'm particularly drawn to the detail of the colorful stones in the front, they almost appear sort of luminous. It's also a good use of foreground as such to build some depth. Good effort.
I always marvel at accomplished portrait photogs like you mentioning the difficulties of doing landscape shots. For me it is exactly the other way round - few things in life seem to be more challenging to me than people photography.

great shot! love the water... is it a guy on the rock in upper left? if yes, you've accomplished a really good picture!!!

Excellent use of the time exposure setting. Well composed with well managed lighting & great color & tonal range. Good sharpness & clarity.

Otimo trabalho Darren. Saudações.

Thez colours are so great that I thought you had used a circular polarizing filter: this may be the result of the long exposure. Its effect on water is also very beautiful.

Great effect achieved with the long shutter speed, foggy like. I just can't seem to get these long exposure shots right for some reason. Yehliu seems like an amazing place, looking forward to my visit there this Xmas.

Great shot. The exposition is good and I like the color on the left bottom part.

good composition mr Darren.
I like the effect of the long shutter time on the sea. and a nice amount of the picture is the horizon. not distracting just there where is belongs. And the colours of the stones are nice.
