Jiufen was a gold mining town once. And now without gold mining, the town has turned to its old tea houses, food stalls, souvenirs to lure the tourists.
At the Jiufen Old Street (a very touristy place), the food products are good only if they are sold. A cauldron of eggs cooked in herbs and Chinese tea remains unsold and the stall owner can only look at passing tourists and hum the Jiufen blues.

I love this tea eggs when I was little. This is a nice daily life iamge showing the typical shop in Taiwan or many other Asian Countries. You manage the color and light well.
Thanks for the well wish. It was a wonderful New Year, I wish to be backhome with the water festival and all.

looking and this scene and reading your note, how can I not feel bad for the woman!
now I want to go over and just buy something from her shop to make her feel better :)
the expression on her face really does make a strong impact on us the viewer.
