[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Photography for weddings in Taiwan is big business. Just in my town alone, there are dozens of wedding photography shops all along the main street.

A few weeks or months before people get married, they go out with a photography team for a day or two (or longer!) and shoot photos at special locations around the country. They wear dozens of different outfits, and get their hair styled and their make-up done according to the outfit. They even put tape across the bride's eyelids to give her wide eyes, as well as often tape up the breasts.

In the end, after lots of airbrushing and editing, the couple is left with a beautiful book full of (sometimes cheesy) photos, for all the guests to see at their wedding. This photo was taken at a park in Taichung, where a bride and groom to be were posing for their photographer. I converted it to black and white because the green from the lilies was too overpowering.

Hi Leslie
Cool B&W. Good way to covert it to B&W since the lotus plant is too overpowering, against the bride's white wedding gown.
Love the natural pose with good clarity and sharpness.
Well done.

Hi Leslie, I can relate to this. Its a huge business in Korea too, with tons of wedding halls, photographers, wedding dress shops etc. I had my wedding this April and I know about all this stuff first hand. Nice photo here, though Id like to see it in color.

Super shot, Leslie. Love the story within a story here as you replicate stroke for painful stroke the exact look of these slick photos. Superb tones, great, great notes. This is a winner! Francis

There are so many companies like that here as well. This is a good photo, i like people in Black and white, and i like her expression, she seems happy.

Same thing here in China...people are just crazy about wedding photos. They are ready to fork over quite a large sum of cash in order to get exciting and fresh shots preferably in never before seen locations. A friend of mine (who is a wedding photographer) runs a shop like this here in Shanghai and makes a killing. He was once asked to go for a 10 day shoot to Tibet...the wealthy couple wanted their wedding shots to be much different from the rest.

Now your image...I think you should go into this business yourself as well. This is just super cool and you've got that painty feel of her skin down pat as well. Compo is splendid with the lilies balancing your subject rather nicely as well. The only thing lacking is your B&W conversion...I wish you had added a bit more contrast to the scene. Anyway, quite an interesting shot. Well done.

Good note. Nice shot here and I think well done PS work; perhaps a bit too smooth for my tastes, but very much like what the couple would receive. Only one small thought, I would consider a little less space behind her, having the frame right against the back of her hair wouldn't hurt at all. Nice shot.

This is absolutely wonderful!
Your colour and B&W work couldn't get better.
Nice, very very nice!

Well captured of the bride. Her facial expression is very natural. I love your composition. Very mysterious feeling in it.
Well done.

It's craziness... :)

I wanted to see this picture from all 18 within a window search on TE.

Something called me to it. I am not sure what... I guess the femininity, the B & W, the style, classical POV, her beauty ( I don't like her teeth... could you ask her, as their photographer to close her mouse when shooting? Or to have a more controled smile? ) clarity, composition, her makeup, sharpness, nuances...

TFS.
