[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was taken at a temple near Sigiriya. The temple was growing and they were adding statues of Buddha. There were several Buddha's that were being cast from concrete and the umbrella was to keep the rain off them while they set.

Hi Benjamin, strong compo in excellent sharpness from effective POV... I like how you choose to give such a large space to the umbrella... also excellent exposure on the umbrella and the statue, with their mix of light and shadow areas, and also catching those attractive drops scattered here and there... well done, Daniel

Hi Benjamin,
The yellow umbrella against the deep blue sky is a great contrast and makes for an eye catching image. A nice strong composition too.
Regards
Wanda

Bonjour Benjamin,

Yves.

Wow.... fantastic POV, excellent colours with thee umbrella and the sky.

Hi Benjamin,
wonderful POV and sharpness
yellow umbrella and the blue sky is a great contrast
best regards

Hello Ben,

This is the perfect angle of the Buddha; it makes him look imposing and powerful. I like the representation of the umbrella, the colour is very similar to that of a monk's robes so the connection is interesting. The three dominant colours are a great combination. I like the serene look on the statue's face, he looks very content. This is certainly something one notices when traveling around Asia, the Buddha is everywhere. I visited the Great Reclining Buddha in Bangkok, probably one of the more famous statues but I know that there are some bigger ones also. Excellent quality, it is a terrific image!
