Photographer’s Note
These people are lighting oil lamps in a buddhist shrine in central Colombo. Sri Lanka is litterally bathing into a political and hardlined buddhism, though I was sorry to see that it is in no way correlated with honesty or integrity.
This is one of the very few shots I took in Colombo, which from the little I've seen I state as the one of the worst city to stay in Asia, even for a night.
It's incredible how they can be inventive in scamming tourists, you just have to walk around for half an hour to be asked for the most unbelievable bullshits you've ever heard from street children, everyday people or even professional crooks dressed with a suit and a tie, it seems they queue one after the other to pick a few rupiahs off your wallet by any mean.

Nice shot, and your note adds value - but I don't think it's as punchy as some of your other shots... Still, as usual it's well composed and technically impeccable :-D

this shot has an intriguing quality to it - can you say something about how you processed it?

I saw this image flash on TE a few days ago, but before I could open it, I guess you took it down. I'm glad you posted it again. I like how you placed your subjects in each corner of the frame, this is the main point of interest in this shot. Very well done!

I'm curious about this one, as the focus appears to be rather random. On one hand, the table at the front is sharp, but the face of the lady behind it is either out of focus or so grainy as to be unrecognisable. The shadow detail and tone also seem inconsistent. The composition makes it stand out, but if I were you I'd have another go at printing it.

Perfect compostion. As Fil has noted, every element is precisely put at the right place. Your photos always have this trademark.

very interesting composition. however, i find that there's too little contrast on the faces of the 2 women on the right- looks washed out. i would like to see more detail there.
