The Cobra Dance Photo

Photographer’s Note

Kandy is the ancient capitale of Sri lanka, during the English colonisation. It's also a holy city for budisme where you can visit one of the main temple/pagoda of the country where there is a relic of budha.

In this picture we can see a dance,...typical dance for tourist,... ;-), but it was funy an different. The dancers makes the movement as a Cobra snake, with her arms and moving the head.

Following to this picture I will show you some other pictures of this travel to Sri Lanka. I am not very happy with the photo quality, but I hope it can be interesting also for you to meet this country, that unfortunately it's not a good place to visit nowadays, due to the army conflict between goverment and Tamuls ethnie, placed in the north of the country.

*Hola Xavi,
m'ha sorprés 1 mica la fotografia que ens presentes avui, ja que és totalment diferent de les que ens presentes normalment.
I precisament per això, m'ha captivat!! Tot i que dius que no estàs gaire content amb la qualitat de la foto, el que compte és l'esperit i tot allò que transmet, és a dir, cultura, coneixença de diversos païssos i tradicions.
Excel.lents colors i creativa composició!! Bon contrast gràfic de colors: blancs, vermells, negre i colors terra.

Salut Javier,
c'est vrai qu'on ditrait que tu nous montres une dance pour touristes. N'empêche les couleurs sont bonnes et l'ambiance aussi.

Nice warm light and you were able to freeze the motion very well . This can be difficult in a low light situation.
