[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Kandy comes very late in a long history: never as spectacular as Sri Lanka's earlier capitals, especially Anuradhapura and Polonnurawa, it's important today because it was the country's last royal capital. There's a lot of patriotic pride centered in the place. Besides, Kandy is also the home of the greatest treasure of the Sinhalese, a reputed tooth of the Buddha that has been in their care since the 4th century. As such, it attracts a daily river of the faithful. Here some women preparing the flowers as gift for the Buddha.

Hello Nicola,
A lovely shot! Very beautiful, superb light and exposure, with the women removing the petals from the lotus flowers... superb atmosphere too.
I have attempted at a Workshop which you may just throw out of the window as I have been cruelly cropping the shot for an experiment. I know that this resulted in a serious decapitation, but please let me know if you bear looking at it at all.

on a l'exemple ici de ce que "Leica" + argentique sont capables de fournir en terme de douceur d'image.dans des conditions semble-t-il assez difficiles (lumiere forte, de face, beaucoup de blanc pour pieger la cellule)la scène est parfaitement piquée.mais avant tout c'est cette douceur de l'arrière-plan que le numérique n'a pas encore réussi a atteindre qui fait la force du sujet principal.(peut-etre avec le M8)
