Photographer’s Note
Taken around the grounds of the 'Temple of the Tooth' in Kandy. Nestled in a hilly inland area Kandy is Sri Lanka's second city and capital of the hill country. It was also a capital of Sinhalese kingdom that eventually fell to British.
Here two young monks walk towards the temple in their bright orange robes. In Sri Lanka the umbrellas carried by most monks tend to be yellow in colour, they seem to match their robes. I have no idea what the reason is (if any at all)! Does anyone know?
